WEDDINGS

WedSpr13CoverWidget  How do we choose our Real Weddings?  I asked editor Annabelle Carr for the inside story, and she shared the list of questions she asks when  she reviews each submission.  1) Ideas: Is there a take-away?  Above all, what ideas and inspiration can our readers apply to planning their own Savannah wedding?  2) Images: Are the images shot professionally in natural light? Are they fresh, bright and vivid? Do they look relaxed and joyful, rather than posed? Do they capture a sense of place, and a sense of fun?  3) Locations: Are the venues in or near Savannah? Do they offer ideas for our brides? Are they unique to the issue, rather than overused? 4) Details: Are there original décor details?  Are they in keeping with industry trends and/or unique to Savannah? Are they photographed with care and composition? To submit a Real Wedding for possible publication in our Spring 2015 issue of Savannah Weddings magazine, please email a photo-sharing link by December 15 featuring ONLY your 20 best shots (concentrating on décor ideas but including couple and location) to weddings@savannahmagazine.com with the following info: Bride and Groom names: Date: Locations: Planner: Photographer: Theme/inspiration: Why this wedding is “so Savannah”: Have another idea for a Savannah Weddings article?  Email us at weddings@savannahmagazine.com today.
